MAKING Mondays….Valentine's Day Banner

It's hard to keep an old blog down!  Hi folks!  I've been hit by lightning inspiration lately and I've come to the conclusion that I'm missing this space.  Instagram is great but I miss my friends here in blog land and seeing the creative process through all of your blogs.  We live and learn all the way through life….just happy to be back!

I was looking to save money and repurpose to make some Valentine's Day decor for the house so I got busy cutting up old drapes.

Sketching out the design with pencil, stitching up the edging, painting with gold fabric paint and grabbing a stick from the yard and we now have a little love banner!

And as for the garden I have been planning, planning, planning!  Here is where I'm getting some of my veggie seeds this year…..High Mowing Organic Seeds

As for what has been shaking over here while we are waiting for the ground to thaw…..

Happy Making, Baking, and Growing!  Thanks for coming by!

  7. Been waiting for this day when you come back to post something in your blog :) You got this gift of making simply things to something special! I like the way you use a twig and twine for your banner - pretty. Same here...planning, panning, planning for the garden and the list is getting longer each day, but how I wish the snow melts soon to reassure us there is actually soil out there!! Keep warm and stay keep patience:)

That Valentine banner of old curtains and a twig is a great idea, love it and what about the last photo of the painting, it's more than beautiful. Looking forward to your new plans for the garden, I'm also busy with planning and changing parts of the garden for soon it's spring again.

Nice to see what you have been up to - I have got round to sorting out what seeds I need this year - a job I really must get on with. A bit too cold to start seed sowing yet but the anticipation of spring is getting nearer. Enjoy the rest of your week.
