moving moments...

I can tell you one thing....life is rolling on down the road.  Things are shifting and changing around every bend and I am just trying to soak it in before the moments move on.  The house is in flux, 2 out of 3 beans will be in school soon, the back garden is under construction with plants being moved to new homes.  Nothing earth shattering...just the stuff that makes you aware of how fast it moves and to give thanks for what you have.

  3. I am still finding it hard to believe that I saw Joe Pye Weed for sale in the gardening department at Lowes...I guess I always considered it a weed.. I have always thought it was pretty but I did not think I would actually see a garden department selling them...Your garden still looks great.. I love all the natural elements and flowers.. Your home looks great too.. Those little one are precious.. Have a great week. Blessings!

  5. Your words of changing times are so touching and true. Love the moving moments of the garden with new additions, the house with a selection of art and the beans, they are growing so fast, sweet picture of the three of them.
Wish you a week of happiness, simple things are the best moments.

  6. Dear Nicole, I loved seeing the photos from your garden! You developed the "bare patch" in a great way, it looks so much more lush and lively now. The combination of the lungwort and the white catmint is genius. I wanted to get a white catmint for my white garden bed for quite a while now and your photo has just reinforced that it would be a lovely plant to add to my garden.
I really like the way you have arranged the different type of art (photos and paintings) above your sofa. It looks interesting, informal and casual and doesn't have that conservative touch that sometimes paintings take on in some people's home. I can see that this arrangement mirrows your lifestyle and your young family.
Last but not least your beans are sooo... cute, as always! Wishing you many more special moments to enjoy this summer. Warm regards,
    Christina

  7. The lounge room is looking very elegant - nice art wall grouping. I must get around to sorting out some more stuff to go on the walls. It all got put away while the builders were here, but it makes the place look so much more homey xxx

  28. Your kids are precious! So many things to talk about here! First off, when I read your title, I was a bit apprehensive because I thought you were actually moving! But then you weren't and I was relieved. :) All your flowers are gorgeous! The new patch is already coming along nicely. I always get flowers when they are dead in the clearance section so I have to wait until the following year to see them bloom! The new living room is so classic-vintage-homey and I love it! The gallery wall is perfectly balanced and the gold frames go with the theme perfectly. I am excited to see your new painting... Folk art is so fun! :)

  36. You have so many flowers still blooming in your garden. Mine are few and far between, but then my gardens need a makeover. Wish I had your energy to do it. I see you have honeysuckle trees in your yard too. Mine are like monsters that I have to trim every year, which only seems to encourage them to grown more.
Love the photos of your sweet beans. So dear - enjoy these precious years.

  50. I love how you labeled your flower photos so we can know what they are! You have so many of my favorites and great talent for photographing them. Your post prompts me to be mindful of how quickly life evolves and how important it is to slow down and be thankful for every special moment. My littlest bean just turned 27 - imagine that if you will! And just yesterday he was, like your sweet little blonde-haired bean, inspecting little bugs in the grass at his feet!

  54. Hi Nicole, I have just added myself to your followers list. What you have done in your garden is very inspiring. I noticed the rug in your living room before too and I have to say it is fantastic. The patterns resemble so much to the kind that are manufactured in Nepal. There are a few factories that produces these kinds. Have a good week ahead!

  58. Hmmmm, really loving those home improvements, Nicole. It's funny how some little changes can make such a big difference. I liked the first photo, then saw the second and could appreciate the beauty in the tweaks you have done. I love the rectangle table, very retro. Your new patch looks fab, you have been busy! I know what you mean about how fast everything is going! Have a great week and I hope things slow down for you a bit soon! x

  59. Nicole, everything looks so beautiful bin your garden. Lots of colour and interesting points of interest. I also really like your grouping of art. I always admire it when people can get them up with a straight line on the bottom or top. I can never manage that. LOL.
