crafting with kids

We have been crafting here quite a bit this month.  The majority of November has been spent in and out of doctors offices.  Besides our little walks and romps out back, I have been trying to keep the beans entertained through crafts inside.

A successful day for me as of late is...getting fresh bedding on all of their beds, making a warm meal (mainly soup), keeping them all hydrated and happy through little activities, and bundling each one up at night with extra blankets.

Every year we make fall leaves so this year I thought we could turn them into ornaments for the window...

 Some of my wall art...

And we had fun turning styrofoam balls into "Frosty"  The beans rolled little cones in glue and then dipped them in green sprinkles to make the trees.  And in the sugar jar they went.  I wouldn't be surprised if some cars end up in there!

Wishing you all a very healthy and happy weekend!

  3. I'm sorry to hear about the illness. I hope all of your beans are feeling well soon and that they stay healthy! I love the window decorations, they're so bright and pretty and your paintings are beautiful. I make soup a lot at this time of year too, usually a couple of times a week. I hope you have a good weekend.

Your soup looks yummy. We are soup lovers and eat it quite often. I hope your little beans feel better soon. This time of year, a classroom is a big germ factory! God Bless, Sally

  11. I hope everyone is feeling better before the holidays are upon us! I love your sweet successes. Sometimes I feel like getting all of the socks picked up off the floor is a 'success'. Ha! I think the window ornaments are very decorative ~ tell the kids I think they did a great job and their snowman jars are darling too!

  23. As long as you are just a little sick there is nothing like snuggles and soup and crafts with Mom. My children were good little worker bees when it came to decorations and christmas baking. My adult son still includes some of the recipes we made back then in his Christmas menu.

  30. The sugar snowman is very cute. And nothing like a big pot of soup (although I am yet to convert certain people here who consider soup a starter and not a whole meal...).

Have you tried indoor "snow" - bicarb soda mixed with shaving cream. My kids love to make little snowmen, snow castles and bury little toys in it. It is a bit messy, though
