a collection

I'm starting a new blog series called collections.   A collection of my photos that have no specific category but mean something to me for one reason or another.  I search for these little bits of beauty everyday.  Even when the house is covered in splattered food and the beans are running circles around me.  They are things that plain and simple make me happy.

 Here is my collection....

sampling with mom

a cozy cottage

a flat tray garden

my new pot for the garden

our street beginning to show its colors

rusted planters for the garden room

 my last bloom
hens-and-chicks in the kitchen

my practice knitting...it isn't much but I am teaching myself when the beans go to sleep
my hope is to one day participate with Wendy from September Violets in sending squares to LILY to  be made into blankets for Syrian Refugees

Happy making, baking, and growing friends!
Wishing you all a fantastic weekend!

  18. Nicole, you are so very talented! All of your pictures are gorgeous and I'm sharing with my Pin Pals. It looks like your knitting is coming along nicely. I started, years ago, to learn how to knit but did not stick it out. I am planning to try again soon. I do crochet, but I adore the look of anything knit. This was a really great post comprised of the things that make you happy and I find they make me happy, as well!

    1. Ha! Nice surprise ending ;) I'm so glad you DID choose one of those huge pots for your garden. I love all your collections here ... hens & chicks are so cute! And honestly, the first photo made me laugh because I thought it was your secret wine cupboard when the "beans are running circles around me"!! .... that was before I read the caption. Your knitting is looking good ... and the fact that you're learning on circular needles says something about your determination! If you need any help, give me a shout :D Wendy xo

  19. you know i love spending time just "enjoying" the search and taking it all in. Seems like you frequent the types of places that i feel a lot of sense of peace in. Plant/Nursery shops local fares... just really nice to take in the care or craft that someone else took to make something or soak in inspirational objects that you'll give new life or meaning to. ;)
