some snazzy little finds

Coming out of my maternity haze of oversized shirts and elastic pants, I have started to slightly remember the gal I was before the beans.  Making, wearing, and scouting for jewelry has always been a  bit of an obsession for me.   Buying at local shops or through Etsy is the way I generally like to go.   But when looking for a curtain rod at World Market (go figure I ended up in the jewelry aisle) I came across some of their snazzy new pieces.

Though I didn't walk away with any of the jewelry, I did buy some head wraps and headbands.
Hey, it's a start!

What are you scouting for these days?

Here is to a great weekend!

  1. I quite like jewelry but it doesn't like me much, with most metals I break out into a rash so I wear very little but I sometimes buy it just to look at it.

  2. Oh I love a little jewellery! I always buy gorgeous pieces for friends for birthdays but ALWAYS end up keeping them myself and giving something else instead! Sshhhh... Don't tell anyone :) Nicole I'm with you. I'm only now staring to remember what I used to be like B.C (Before Child). A little more stylish... Time to regain ourselves I think!

  4. Very chic finds and I like your new headband. I am on the lookout for serveware and seasonal items. I could not resist the pomegranate dipping bowls in the pb catalog. So they are sitting in the sun room fot now :-)

  5. I've always thought that they have really fun jewelry there. I love all the chunky necklaces. Alas, because I hardly ever wear anything more than my wedding ring anymore, it feels weird when I put something "loud" on.

  6. The necklace of the first picture is very pretty and your headband looks very nice. I do not wear fun jewelry nowadays very often, but I like it. I am always scouting for special pottery of Ravelli, but it is difficult to find.

  8. My daughter is in town and we went shopping today. I commented to her that now I am retired, I don't wear my nice clothes. I have actually taken to wearing some of my nicer shirts around the house. I think when the days are cooler, I may done cute shirts and sweaters with my jeans.

One of my all time favorite necklaces is from World Market - love to browse there.

  13. I love World Market! I'd love to go shopping for clothes but totally BLEW my garden budget so there's nothing new in my closet. But I do have my eye on a purse that is going to end up in my closet sooner rather than later... ;o)

  14. I rarely wear jewelry at all. Not even my wedding rings. But I always love it on other people. I've got a few cool necklaces and whenever I put one on my kids always ask why I'm so dressed up.
