Follow me through Bloglovin'

<a href="http://www.bloglovin.com/blog/4417423/?claim=t4ndh46u7tu">Follow my blog with Bloglovin</a>

Ok so this is not the coolest post but as I am getting word of Google Reader and GFC shutting down I am trying to get all of you guys over to my Bloglovin' page so that I can keep up with all of your wonderful blogs!  I hear that this is all happening July 1st and I'm not quite sure how this will affect all of us but I want to be ready!  What are your thoughts???  How are you all handling this???

  1. I spotted this in another post today. I'm totally confused. I'm not techie, so am going to have to do a bit of Google research on it. Would love to know more. xo

    1. I'm not techie either! I have been researching it tonight and am understanding that they are kinda pushing us towards google+?!?!

  2. I think someone is doing a great job promoting bloglovin'. I have seen a few other posts about it. From what I can tell, Google + replaced GFC over a year ago but GFC is still a function of blogger, which is why we all still have our GFC widgets.

    1. Are you on Google+ ...not sure I am up for maintaining that??? I also heard that people that do not have blogger accounts will have to follow us through a different platform as this function will no longer be available to them. I have read some bloggers are telling their readers to follow via email...

    2. I am not on google plus. I am still trying to get clarification on this. It sounds like google reader is going away but you can still get your blog feed through the blogger dashboard, which is how I have always done it. But I have seen this bloglovin' all over my blog feed so I guess I should check it out.

  3. I haven't heard of this. I hope it's not shutting down! I'm already on Bloglovin' though, so off to follow you now :-)

  4. Have had a look and Stacy is onto it. Blogger have said that "for the forseeable future" Google Friend Connect will still be a good option. I think they are trying to freak everyone out and get everyone over too Bloglovin. x

  5. I've only just heard of this today! I'm not really sure what to do about it but...keen to hear what other bloggers are doing

  6. I had not heard of this, I am not real crazy about google + so I don't use it. the blogs I want to read and keep up with I find easier to do by just putting them in my blog list on my blog page-I have them in order of when the person posts-so at a glance I can see when blogs are updated.
have not heard of bloglovin and I do have it set up on my blog that readers can follow me by email

  7. I didn't even use Google Reader until recently....I used to just keep my blogroll in my sidebar and then click from there when new posts showed up. But that was back when I only read a handful of other blogs. Not sure what I'll do now. There is Feedly, too, I guess? But then I read this scary article in Slate that was all, "if Google couldn't figure out how to make money off of their feed reader, what makes you think any of the others will stick around long term?" And then went on to talk about how one of the downsides of cloud software is that you can't count on ANYTHING to be there for you tomorrow. It was sad.

  8. Hey lady :) Your bloglovin link isn't working, at least on my computer. Please send me a link and I will happily follow if I'm not already. I just posted about this, too. (The whole Google Reader thing is confusing.)

  9. I was on Google + and didn't like it, so I dumped it. I've heard about both Bloglovin' and Feedly lately. I don't know anything about Bloglovin' yet, but with Feedly, you can transfer all the blogs you subscribe to without having to do it manually, which would be a plus for me.

    1. I dumped google + too! Felt the same way! Bloglovin does it automatically for ya too!

  10. I heard this at least a year ago and nothing happened. Darn, now I'm going to have to get out there and figure out things again. I haven't had any emails or heard anything from Google. But I guess I'd better pay attention. I forget what I started going to last time but it wasn't called Bloglovin. Have to go look at that one!

  11. I'm not sure if GFC is actually going away or not...I'll probably move everything to Bloglovin down the road, and will definitely include you!

  12. Gosh I hope not! I'm not a huge blog but I do like being able to see who is following me especially so I can follow back!

  13. I am totally clueless to all of the above, I am glad you got me informed Nicole! I will have to look into it! Thanks Chica!

  14. Thanks so much for posting this. You were the first one I read on the subject & since found lots of us writing about it! I'm considering taking my GFC widget down to discourage folks from following that way & hope they follow via something else. I think I'm everywhere except G+ ... for now anyway ;-)
