fence post and tin cans

Well, the work room is coming along bit by bit.  The room itself is only 11 by 11 feet so I am trying to get things up on the walls to save on space.  Today we took an old fence post from the shed and attached some tin cans and we now have a supply organizer for the beans' table.
{I drilled holes in the cans as well as the post and attached the cans with screws.}

A double bonus because we spent nothing!

What are you making today???

  2. How did you hang the cans on the wood? It looks great.. I am not doing anything today. My hubby and I have had a difficult time just sitting around but we so need a "do nothing day". I know your room is going to be great.. Blessings!

  5. What a clever idea, and brilliant that it didn't cost you anything. I made food today, and tried very hard not to eat it. Tuna pasta bake (broccoli pasta bake for the vegetarians amongst us), raspberry and blackcurrant crumble and cranberry flapjack. I'm SO hungry, but trying to be thinner for a dress. CJ xx

    I have tin cans too, but as mine as just lying around the craft room, it resembles more of a trash heap. Off to find myself a fence post!

  29. Hi Nicole, I just read this blog and your one before this,,,I'm playing catch up! I swooned over your Echinachea! I love all the different ones that are new to my gardening world. You are an amazing mother and artist! You do so much with your little beans.....their art is wonderful. My most creative friend was given free artistic reign by her mother......keep the paints and craft glue flowing!! It will be fun to see what the beans do with their talents as adults......xxxx

  47. Hi Nicole, what I have growing between the limestone is weeds (LOL), but also some creeping thyme and Irish moss. Both are supposed to be things that can be walked on, and they really can! I also planted some violets beside the walkway a few years ago, and there are all kinds of those coming up between the stones. I should probably pull them out because they are too tall, but at least they are green. I may wait until the end of the season to remove the violets from between - they are fine there for now.
