quick combo

Sometimes I stumble upon a plant combination that feels just right..... 

Joe Pye Weed----Switchgrass----Coneflower  

















I'm thinking the coneflower is Pow Wow Wild Berry Echinacea? 

I like this combination so much that I'm going to use it as a starting point for our new side yard.

    Gorgeous! Both the Echinacea/Panicum and the Echinacea/Eupatorium. The massing really takes your breath away. Where did you see these?

    I love echinacea so much, but I can't seem to grow it my garden. Good luck with yours, can't wait to see the end result.

    I love the new bold colors they have in echinaceas! I want to do a mass planting somewhere on the farm next year. They attract such wonderful birds during the winter months. Very interesting combination, love it! Have a great weekend yourself!!

    Beautiful! Love that Echinacea. I have one in the garden too though it's died down for the winter. Hopefully it will come back this spring:) Love how it's with the other puffy reddy/purple flowers. Gorgeous! x

    Very pretty! I have never tried to grow Joe Pye weed, but it looks perfect with those bright coneflowers. And the switch grass picks up on the pink quite prettily. Great combo to start a new garden with!

    Indeed - a great kinda' monochromatic planting. Looks great in a huge mass like that. Wonder if it'd have the same impact in a smaller planting?
