We don't get out much with three kids under the age of 4, so when we do, we savor every moment!
Our date night was a concert located at the beautiful Northerly Island in Chicago. I'm proud to call Chicago our city. The people...the music..the food!
If you've never heard this woman sing, I hope you'll give her a listen, because she is what good music is all about!
It was a cool night on the lake with a lovely crowd. People kicking back and dancing the night away!
And me with this guy....sharing our love of music once again!
And me with this guy....sharing our love of music once again!
Here is to all of those little moments this week that make life sweet! Have a good one!
Awww what a cute pic! You guys are so cute. :) I've traveled all over the world, but I've never been to Chicago! Crazy. Glad you enjoyed your night out! We never go out either.
ReplyDeleteGood for you two on getting a night out! You look beautiful, Nicole!! What a lovely evening and a well deserved date. I can't imagine having 3 under the age of four as I think a six year old and a four year old are pretty challenging!
ReplyDeleteOUTSTANDING!!! Saw them last year, and I know we will go back every time they are in town, from now on. Would love to see TT with the Black Crowes, lucky girl. Fabulous picture of you and your guy, too - ROCK ON, Nicole! XOXO
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful for you both, looks like your having fun. How true your quote is.
ReplyDeleteHi Nicole loved the photo of you guys-sounds like an awesome date night
ReplyDeleteOh man, I'm so happy for you! How fun. I LOVE Susan Tedeschi and every year for Christmas I ask for one of her CD's. Okay, that makes me sound really old. The point is, I still don't own any of her music. She's amazing and definitely the epitome of a singer-songwriter. Love it. Glad you got out as a couple! Great picture.
ReplyDeleteDate nights are a necessity, so good for you two!
ReplyDeleteI am glad you and your sweetie got some time on your own - it is hard when there are little kids.
ReplyDeleteYou have beautiful eyes.
Yay for date nights. We are so overdue for one. Nice to see a pic of you too beautiful lady. Have an awesome week lovely! xo
ReplyDeleteLovely pic of the two of you. Sounds like a great night out.
ReplyDeleteYour date night sounds like a heap of fun! You guys look so great and happy together.
ReplyDeleteLove it! So glad you two got out for some couple time. That is so important.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, you have some of the clearest eyes I have ever seen. That is a compliment. Your eyes are so beautiful and clear; as if looking into a clear blue lagoon. It is a quality I do not see in too many adults. Usually children have the clear eyes, regardless of color. :)
Sounds like a great night and such a gorgeous photo of you both.
ReplyDeleteI visited Chicago in 2001 and loved it. I remember fabulous plantings along all the streets in the city x
You and your hubby look great together! Glad you were able to get away for some one-on-one time. We don't have any kids around our household (unless you count pets!) and even we have a hard time finding time to ourselves. Looks like it was a gorgeous night! :)
ReplyDeletelooks like one heck of a date night - can you give my hubby some pointers? (just kidding, he's pretty great)
ReplyDeleteIt is good to get out and about. Looks fab. You are right she has an amazing voice. Jo x
ReplyDeleteReally glad to read you and the hubby got a date night! And what a great place to enjoy it! Northerly Island is such a cool place. Great pic of you two, sure looks like you enjoyed the time away from the kiddos!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fabulous date night! I love that picture of the boats, it's awesome.
ReplyDeleteYou two make a great-looking couple! So glad you were able to get out on a date night, and it sounds like the music was the perfect remedy. I remember not getting out much when the kids were young too ... you feel rejuvenated all over again from just one good evening. Wendy x
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet couple you are - so cute! It's so important to make time for fun and new memories especially when you have little ones! You have your hands full! I had 4 under the age of 6 (once upon a time :) and you don't often get time for yourself or each other. The concert sounds wonderful and Chicago is so beautiful. Hugs xo
ReplyDeletewhat a great picture of you two. It sounds and looks like you had a great time. Outdoor concerts are the best.
ReplyDeleteGood for you, getting out! (we still don't get out nearly enough with four kids under, umm, 13 ;)). I saw the Black Crowes opening for ZZ Top when I was in high school. I'm not sure if it makes me feel old or young that they're still around....
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great concert. Glad you had a fun time away from the kids for a bit. I can remember those days when it was a very special thing to go out as just two adults.
ReplyDeleteGood for you for making the time for each other! I remember going on date nights to escape being parents for a few hours only to spend at least half our time talking about our son!
ReplyDeleteAwh you guys are the cutest! Date nights are so important, just some you time together! Great when you get to spend it listening to some music and chilling out! Have a great weekend Nicole x Hazel
ReplyDelete3 under 4? I'm tired just thinking about it! SO glad you got away to have some fun. :o) Sounds like an awesome night. This is some great booty shakin' music.

I love Tedeschi trucks! Her voice is amazing!! Wow what a great concert on the lake too! Love when we see people play at great venues!! We just saw Buddy Guy and Quinn Sullivan at the smith center, great show as well!! Where words Fail, Music speaks! one of my favorite quotes!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I went on a date night this weekend. Nothing as spectacular as your date, but it's nice to get away together for a while and just enjoy each other's company. I think it's especially important for young couples like you with young children. Looks like you had fabulous weather, too!
ReplyDeleteAwww, how fun! Date nights are awesome -- and I'm so jealous! LOVE Tedeschi/Trucks!
