We have some of our veggies growing in pots by the house. The area is, well, blah! So I grabbed some palettes from my Pop and set to work.
So there ya have it! A quick weekend project spruce up! Hope your weekend is rocking! Off to hear my brother play at a music festival by the river! Cheers!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea. I have a spot along the back fence that I could make a walkway. Even If I can't get paallets, you have given me some ideas.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration. Less than 3 weeks until I have all the garden time in the world.

ReplyDeleteGreat idea. What a difference it made!
ReplyDeleteSo much can be done with the simple palette ... great idea and it looks sharp! When my kids were small we used palettes for our "bumpy roads". I would line up about three large ones on the drive with a ramp at each end, and they would ride their small cars and bikes over them. They loved the bumpy ride they got (although small wheels did get caught in the spaces at times). Good times ;) Wendy
ReplyDeleteExcellent repurposing, looks great! Now maybe you should consider putting some low groundcovers between the palette boards.
ReplyDeleteWow, that looks great! I am still not having any luck with my herbs, I am going to go paint my thumb green and see if I can fool them!
ReplyDeleteFabulous creativity! Creeping thyme would make an excellent ground cover. :o)
ReplyDeleteI love your container garden and the pallet walkway you created--it all looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThis came out really too awesome!
ReplyDeleteI once did a similar thing with slate & bricks I dug up in my old backyard. Repurposing is pretty great!
What an excellent idea! Hmmm, now where can I get some free pallets?!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing and enjoy the concert.
Hugs,

Beautiful! I needed that inspiration. I loaded up a pallet from the side of the road several months ago and it's still sitting in my garage, waiting for the idea and the time. Trouble is, I drive past multiple pallets everyday marked free and I want to take them all home!!
ReplyDeleteHow smart of you! It looks great!
ReplyDeletelove!
ReplyDeletei actually (and by i, i mean, Troy) put some out in our field to get to our fire pit. it works well so people don't have to get their feet wet in the grass!
I wanna do this in our backyard now!! it looks so great Nicole!

I always like projects that repurpose things that would end up being discarded. What a great idea to spruce up your little veggie garden. Less mud in the house too. Have fun at the concert!
ReplyDeleteClever! I love seeing ways people repurpose those things! I only wishy my husband would let me bring some home too. Did you treat them with anything so that they won't rot?

ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous idea - I wonder if it would work at our allotment.

That looks amazing, Nicole! I am about to start "degrassing" (is that a word? LOL) a strip of ground that runs alongside my garage and planned to mulch and lay pavers as a path, but I think I like this idea even better!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I had found a few things like this on pinterest. Just need to find me some pallets and talk the hubby into how neat it looks!
ReplyDeleteWow great idea. I weeded last week the piles are still waiting to be picked up lol. You are super creative, should write a book ;)
ReplyDeleteSo clever and cute!
