With the New Year upon us, life continues to evolve and change. There are times when you feel things shifting. Though nothing is physically happening, you can feel it in the air around you.

ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
ReplyDeleteaw shucks, you guys will get even a more perfect house next year! :)
Sorry you lost out on the house bid, but something better will come along. I remember being so sad not to win a bidding war on a lovely Victorian and now years later, I realize that house would have put us in debt and the neighborhood quickly deteriorated anyway. So, in the long wrong we're better off. Hopefully, you'll find the right place for your soul to grow and thrive soon!
ReplyDeleteAlso, love the inspirational photos and my heart skipped a beat when it came upon the sewing books!

A space with trees and room for a bigger garden . . . yes! It is going to happen for you, even if this house was not the one. There is another out there - for sure!
ReplyDeleteFantastic! All the best to you and your family, Nicole.

That is a gorgeous yard! I am sorry it didn't work out. But now you will be looking and I am sure you will find something amazing. We are still house hunting but we will have to put a pause on it for awhile. It is hard to find exactly what you want but we'll hang around here until we do. Your garden inspiration is fun and pretty. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI have that "Life isn't about . . . " quote on a little wooden sign and it is always somewhere in my decor. 2013 was a big year of change for each member of our family. Some of the changes were scary, but the risks proved worth it.
ReplyDeleteI am excited to be reading about the ups and downs of finding a home with property. I see a completely new life for your family and perhaps a business for you when you land on that big property. Good luck!
So sorry you didn't get the bid on the home, but I feel you'll continue looking, which is exciting. It will be fun to watch where this new year will take you and where you'll be one year from now. You go girl!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year.

ReplyDeleteYou will eventually find the place right for you. We always felt, with big city living for work, we had to put our dreams on hold. Now I think we should have tried harder, a lot harder, to find a way. I am so glad you are going for it.

Love your very inspiring New Year's post, Nicole! Now I want to run out and do something amazing....like run back in...:) It is very cold out today. I know that feeling of desiring a change and feeling that shift in perspective and thinking...it is very powerful when it takes hold. It sounds like you are going forward on a wonderful new adventure for your whole family - I can feel the excitement. Good for you and your sweet Beans - I have no doubt you will accomplish all of your dreams. The very best to you and your loved ones and may all your dreams come true in the coming New Year, Nicole! Hugs xo karen
ReplyDeleteSorry you missed out on the house....our path to buying this house started out with trying to buy my grandmother's old house and it not working out--it was a disappointment, but it opened us up to looking for other possibilities, and we're really happy with how it worked out, so I think your attitude about the whole thing is perfect. Happy New Year!
