MAKING Mondays....quick embroidery (inspired) artwork

I just have a quick one for you today!  
As I continue to create the space for my girls I have found some little tricks to help with the budget.  I recently finished using removable wallpaper to paper their whole closet.  I needed some art in the closet so I jumped over to Pinterest to find some embroidery patterns to make a little piece for their closet wall.





Most of the patterns I found were modern and simple which I find works really well for framed art in their space.  Just sketched it on some brown craft paper and re-traced it in a white paint pen.  Frame it up and there you have it!  

I will be around to visit you all soon after we get in from the snow!

    Nicole, what a super idea! I love it!! Your picture is very cool. I love the owls, there is something about them that captures your eye. we have a barn owl family living by us and I love their hooting. Mind you I keep an eye on Archie when I hear them!     What an awesome idea, Nicole! I am so glad you shared this today and I can see how the same idea could be applied to white or even some colored papers and other colors of paint. I love this idea!

    This is so flipping cute, I LOVE it! What's removable wallpaper, like peel and stick? And seriously, their closet is big enough to make it cute!? Lucky girls!

      I got the wallpaper from Amazon and yes it is peel and stick....and no their closet is not big....it's called the closet doors broke and for now we are making into a storage/play nook for them! Ha! But check out the wallpaper...I love it!

    This is so cool! I know you're girls love it. It coordinates well with that neat wallpaper, too. We're expecting some snow tomorrow. I hope it comes later in the afternoon because a friend is coming over to do some stitching and gossiping!

    The internet is an amazing resource. I keep telling my kids you have no idea how simple it is to locate information now compared to when I was a teen.
