scattered art

Sometimes I feel a bit scattered artistically.  I have so many thoughts and ideas of what I want to do and make that I get overwhelmed.  I chalk it up to lack of time!  Whatever the reason, I knew it was time to pull out my paints today.  It is one of the only things (besides digging in the dirt) that makes my brain completely shut off.  Which is worth more than gold when caring for a house full of beans.  No brush today, just my palette knife....






Our bowl of candy and pumpkins are set up by the door on this rainy Halloween day!!

    Of course you knew I would love it with so much color. Steve doesn't do much with a palette knife. Your project looks fun.

    Love the bold colours and bold strokes in this painting. Wonderful piece Nicole!! You should definitely dedicate more time for painting to make use of all those creative thoughts in your head. I hope this gets a place of honour somewhere in your home :) Wendy ps enjoy your Halloween night!!

    Happy Halloween! It's raining severely here so Halloween has been cancelled for our town....hopefully they will allow it tomorrow night!

    Wow Nicole that painting is awesome! I didn't know you painted as well! I hear you about feeling sort of confused about what type of art to make on a given day... the ideas in one's brain can get overwhelming! That's why I sold a lot of my supplies... just too many interests to manage. Now that my focus has changed and narrowed I am actually getting projects started instead of sitting stunned starring off into space like a deer in the headlights, lol!

    I love the art that you create.

    I wish you were here to help me. :) I am in dire need of some art and may just buy some canvas at Michaels and some paint and see what craziness I can create. The thing is, I am my own worst critic and I have a perfectionist streak. Sigh. :(
