    Awe, lovely ;) thanks for the inspiration. I need to work on my flower gardening skills. Two years ago I planted bluebell seeds like I would for a veggie garden and it looks dumb, lol, all in one line :) I tried to get the more over grown look for this year, but it's such a young garden, it's going to take awhile.       I have several areas that are taking their time maturing. I guess that is what keeps me hanging on to the next season!

    Oh, my! So beautiful I love the house in the background. I am looking forward to some garden time this weekend and then a full week of it during spring break. Steve asked me if I wanted him to hire a gardener to take out the jungle this week so all I have to do is plant flowers. I have to say I took him up on it. During the fall and winter I have so little time for gardening and it is literally a jungle. Our little ginger cat is not going to be happy though.

    Hope you get some garden time in soon.

      How fantastic!!!! Now you can focus on the good stuff!!!! Me on the other hand....they are calling for snow again tomorrow. Not sure how much more cold I can take!!!!

    If I had a dream job, it would be to develop a huge garden such as this one and give it a gorgeous name and open it to the public an so on. What a wonderful legacy he has left he world!

    Wow! Imagine having that in your back yard. When I'm a dotty old lady, I want to spend my days in the garden finishing at 4pm to sit and drink gin and tonics. xo

    Thanks Nicole for giving us some color! It will give us something to look/dream about when the next round of snow hits! I do have tulips and hyacinths poking thru!

    Those pictures fill me with yearning! We are planning a trip to England in the fall and want to visit several famous gardens, including Hidcote Manor, Sissinghurst, etc. You've reminded me that we have to consider Great Dixter!

    What an inspirational gardener Christopher Lloyd was.
    He visited New Zealand once or twice, sadly I didn't hear him speak although everyone spoke very highly of him and marvelled at his enthusiasm and humour!
    I read where he loved working away in his garden, usually unrecognised by visitors, listening to comments and having a chuckle!
    I haven't visited Great Dixter but I have been to Vita's garden "Sissinghurst", my most magical day ever!

    Wow,
    Such beautiful and inspiring photos, it makes me wish for a gardener! My husband and I can barely keep up with the beds we have, like today we spend 6 hours just cleaning up beds from the fall! Ahhh but your photos keep me dreaming!
    By the way I just LOVE the bracelet you made in the previous post!

    The photos are just lovely. We all need to look at pretty flowers this time of year especially!

    Your pancakes down below look wonderful as well as the zucchini cake, yum! I love that photo of your child holding that zucchini, it's almost as big as her lol

    The house and garden is my idea of home. I'm planning the same 'look" but on a much smaller scale of course. As I work I can imagine Christopher Lloyd beside me giving advice. Fortunately he is very patient.

    What beautiful gardens!!! The color and greenery is so lush and candy for my eyes. I can hardly wait until it turns green here. The wait just seems so long.
