Hi Nicole, My property is flat, except for one small slope which is a shame, because I happen to love a garden that rolls down a slope, especially one that is filled with interesting rocks and lots of ground covers. A tapestry of groundcovers can be so beautiful.
I know...this is a great example because it creates such amazing movement in the garden. The article about these homeowners from New York is very interesting. Their main priority was to create access to all areas so as to better tend to their plants and to have different vantage points by establishing different areas to sit along the way. To help with erosion they lined one whole path with raspberry bushes. It is a fun space!
Hey Ben here it is...and if this does not work go to garden photos in the left hand margin and then go to the 4th or 5th page where it says our garden vegetable tiers in New York...good luck!

Ooh, such an interesting garden. I love a garden in any shape, size, or slope! XOL
ReplyDeleteIt will be really beautiful when it fully grows in. The slope will be stabilized too. What a great project.
ReplyDeleteOh your garden space is so wondrous. I love it.
